Catching up with Roman & Pauline

Ocean City, NJ

We decided to go to Ocean City, NJ the day after the 4th of July. We spent the actual 4th of July in King of Prussia. Me and Roman went to see the last round of the AT$T National golf tournament. We got to see “El Tigre” one last time just was he was finising the round. Sucked for him since he finished 40-something. Pauline had a play date and mom, did…something, not quite sure. We met up with out cousins from SA in Trenton NJ. They are staying in NY for a few days. They went with us to the beach. Roman was excited to see his cuz Ben and vice versa. They had a blast at Wonderland on the board

I will post some more pics later, but here are a couple from the beach, or of the beach.

First glance at the beach

We will definitely have to go back and stay for a while. The water was very cold, colder than what we have ever experienced back on any Texas beach.

Shadows on the sand...

Hope everyone had a safe summer.

Some Snow in KOP

This was probably the first big snowfall in King of Prussia last winter. By last winter I mean the winter of 2009/2010.

This is the storm that delayed us from flying to San Antonio.

It is summer now, but I am backing dating these post to the day I uploaded to Youtube. I kinda miss the snow…

More old Videos

Here is an old video of me interviewing Pauline. She was getting ready for our trip to San Antonio during the Christmas vacation. Mom had set her stuff out, but Pauline decided to start packing. I guess I should have stopped her!

First Snow of Winter 2009

Here are a pair of videos of the first snow in King of Prussia for the winter of 2009. I am not sure if that is correct, but this was in December of 2009. We got a ton of snow in 2010. That was the same winter, but next year. Does that make sense?

Then about an hour later this is what was outside. Nothing too magnificent.

I have many more snow videos that I will post later. Now I better get back to my homework…

Hello Again…

It has been a while since I updated this site. I have been a little busy with my blog and work and school and kids activities and Knights and whatever else…

Here is an old video from Thanksgiving.

I will probably post old videos I have uploaded to youtube. Roman’s baseball season is wrapping up and summer vacation is just around the corner. Talk at you later…

Last game of the fall…ball!

This Saturday Roman had the last game of the fall ball season. He did not get to play much. We had a lot of rain outs and then we missed a couple due to travels and such. He did have some fun and he got used to hitting balls from an actual pitcher. He had some trouble at first, but some trips to the batting cages helped. I hope he is looking forward to spring. I know I am. I am still gonna try to take him to the World Series. I am sure something like that will have a big affect on him. Who knows maybe one day he will be playing in the World Series. Ok so that was my dream, but it could be his as well. Here is a panorama I took of him on thirds base. I know it looks a little crappy. I took it with my iphone and the exposure and everythng is off, but it still looks cool. Funny how you take a few ordinary pics and it looks cooler than just one picture. I promise I will only post a few more panoramas.

Jim Thorpe Fall 2009

Last weekend we decided to go up to Jim Thorpe in the Lehigh Valley. It is about 1 hour and a half drive from King of Prussia and fall has already set in as you can tell from the pictures. We met some friends up there. Go to Facebook and you will see them tagged in the photos. These are just a few shots I took while walking around. It was a cute little town. Not much for the kids to do. I guess we could have taken the train ride and gone into a museum, but we were lazy. Jeannette’s primo Trae went with us. He came up from Annapolis, MD to stay with us for the weekend. It was fun. Saturday we just hung out at home watching the Longhorns beat up on Colorado. Check out www.carlostmedina.com for some other shots that I took. Take care and see you around…

The Boys 1st Annual Camping Trip

Here are some pics from our camping trip to Hickory Run State Park.

This set is from a short walk we took to the “beach” they have. It is a small lake with some sand on the side of it. It was really cold. We did not go swimming this day, but the next day we came back and went for a swim. The water was freakin cold. If you look closely, you can see that Roman was swatting at some little gnats that were superfreakinannoying! That is an actual word. Look it up in the dictionary if you do not believe me. I like the picture of our shadows. The sun was going down and I was taking a picture of the rocks when I saw my shadow. I told Roman to come stand by me and I took a pic of the shadows. We could have done some funny shadows, but we were tired.

I will post some more later from the camping trip and from the trip to Baltimore. We had a great week and weekend. Now the school year begins. So looking forward to Christmas. Not only will we be off for at least a week, we are going back to San Antonio. Keep your calenders open, the Medinas will be in town Dec 20 to Dec 29.

Just trying to help out

I am just posting this email I got from the Director of Pauline’s daycare. It is the least I could do since Pauline will not be going there soon. She is starting “Big Girl School.” She is starting a pre-k program at the Mother of Divine Providence Catholic School. Too bad Nuns will not be teaching her, or should I say that is a good thing for the Nuns…hehe!

Here is the email. If anyone is in the King of Prussia area this weekend, please stop by. I do not know what they are selling other than cupcakes and lemonade. I am not selling anything. I might be there, not that that is a selling point.

Calling all Families:

We are trying to get a rough count of how many families will be participating in our yard sale this weekend. Here are the details if you’ve missed them previously:

· Yard sale, 50/50 raffle, lemonade and bake sale
· 8am to 2pm in our parking lot (and front yard if necessary.)
· All proceeds go toward the FKS playground fund
· Families can participate by:
o Purchasing a selling spot for $10 and selling your own things for your own profit
o Donate items for FKS to sell
o Bake for our bake sale
o Come and help with set up/ take down/ or staff a table
o Telling your friends and family

Please respond by email, phone, note in the payment box, or in person if you plan to attend, sell, donate, bake, volunteer, etc. We would love for everyone to come out and support FKS.

Thanks and have a great day!

Director, For Kids’ Sake CCLC

The picture is from Pauline’s birthday party we had at the daycare a few weeks ago. We had pizza and cupcakes.
